What we pump

What we get called out for most.

Everything Wasteco handles, in the order people ring about it.

01

septic

septic waste removal

The standard household pump-out. We lift the lid, vacuum the tank down, check the outlet and leave the lid seated properly.

02

grease

grease traps and oils

Kitchen grease traps emptied and washed out on a schedule that keeps the council and your kitchen happy.

03

stormwater

stormwater and soakwells

Stormwater pits and silt traps cleaned out so the first big rain does not back up over the yard.

04

industrial

industrial liquid waste

Bulk liquid waste taken away under licence and tipped at a licensed facility, with the paperwork to prove where it went.

05

leach

leach drain install and repairs

New systems supplied and installed, sized to the block and the number of people actually living on it.

What happens on the day

One visit, done properly.

A phone call, and it is booked

One conversation. You hear what it costs, you hear when we can be there, and that is the booking done.

We find the lid before we start

If you have never had it pumped, we locate and uncover the tank. Old lids under a garden bed are our normal Tuesday.

Emptied properly, not skimmed

A tank is not done when the liquid is gone. The crust and the settled sludge come out too, which is the part that decides how long before you need us again.

Nothing gets quietly noted

Whatever the tank shows us, you hear about while we are still there and can look at it with us.

Disposed of under licence

It leaves your place and goes to a licensed receiving facility. The paperwork exists and you can have a copy.

We leave it safe

An unseated septic lid is the most dangerous thing on a rural block. Ours go back properly, every time.

Not the same as the next truck

What you actually get with Wasteco.

Taken from what the business says about itself, not from a template.

'Fleet of trucks ready to go'

24/7 for commercial customers

Markets all services as eco-friendly

Does leach drain install and repair as well as pumping, so they capture the follow-on job

Straight answers

The questions we get asked most.

How often should a septic tank be pumped?
For most households it is every three to five years, and it depends on tank size and how many people live there. If it has been longer than five years, or you have just moved in and nobody can tell you when it was last done, book it.
How do I know if mine needs doing?
Slow drains through the whole house, gurgling, a smell near the tank, or wet ground and greener grass over the trench. Any of those means ring, do not wait.
Do you need to find the lid, or do I?
We can find it. If you know where it is, tell us and we are faster. If nobody has looked in twenty years, that is a normal job for us.
Can the truck get to my tank?
Usually. Tell us if the tank is behind a locked gate, down a steep drive, or more than about thirty metres from where a truck can park, and we will bring the right hose.
What happens to the waste?
It goes to a licensed facility and it is documented. Ask for the docket any time you want it.
How often does a grease trap need doing?
Most kitchens run somewhere between monthly and quarterly, and your council sets the minimum. We will tell you honestly if you are paying for visits you do not need.
How much does it cost?
It depends on tank size, access and how long it has been. Ring 0458 223 145 with your address and you get a real number, not a range.
