What we pump

Everything the tank might need.

Everything Terry's Septic Tank Cleaning handles, in the order people ring about it.

01

Septic

Septic tank pump out

The standard household pump-out. We lift the lid, vacuum the tank down, check the outlet and leave the lid seated properly.

02

Water

Water tank cleaning

Rainwater tanks drained, cleaned out and refilled, so what comes out of the tap is what you thought was in there.

03

Grease

Grease cleaning

Grease traps emptied, washed out and recorded, on an interval your council will accept.

04

Drain

Drain cleaning

Blocked drains cleared and the line checked, so the same blockage doesn't come back next month.

05

Pit

Pit cleaning

Pit cleaning, on a day that suits you and with the site left as we found it.

06

Liquid

Liquid waste removal

Bulk liquid waste taken away under licence and tipped at a licensed facility, with the paperwork to prove where it went.

07

Plumbing

Plumbing leak detection

General plumbing alongside the pump-out, so a cracked line gets fixed on the same visit that found it.

What happens on the day

One visit, done properly.

A phone call, and it is booked

One conversation. You hear what it costs, you hear when we can be there, and that is the booking done.

Nobody knows where the lid is. That is fine

Half the jobs start with a probe and a shovel. If the lid has been buried since the eighties, we will still find it.

Hose to the tank, truck stays put

The hose does the walking so the truck does not have to. Sludge, crust and liquid all go, not just the easy layer off the top.

Nothing gets quietly noted

Whatever the tank shows us, you hear about while we are still there and can look at it with us.

It is tipped where it should be

Waste goes to a licensed facility. If you ever need the docket, we have it.

We leave it safe

An unseated septic lid is the most dangerous thing on a rural block. Ours go back properly, every time.

Not the same as the next truck

Straight answers

The questions we get asked most.

How often should a septic tank be pumped?
For most households it is every three to five years, and it depends on tank size and how many people live there. If it has been longer than five years, or you have just moved in and nobody can tell you when it was last done, book it.
How do I know if mine needs doing?
Slow drains through the whole house, gurgling, a smell near the tank, or wet ground and greener grass over the trench. Any of those means ring, do not wait.
Do you need to find the lid, or do I?
We can find it. If you know where it is, tell us and we are faster. If nobody has looked in twenty years, that is a normal job for us.
Can the truck get to my tank?
Usually. Tell us if the tank is behind a locked gate, down a steep drive, or more than about thirty metres from where a truck can park, and we will bring the right hose.
What happens to the waste?
It goes to a licensed facility and it is documented. Ask for the docket any time you want it.
How often does a grease trap need doing?
Most kitchens run somewhere between monthly and quarterly, and your council sets the minimum. We will tell you honestly if you are paying for visits you do not need.
Can you do the rainwater tank while you are here?
Yes, and it is worth doing on the same visit. One trip out, one call-out, both tanks sorted.
How much does it cost?
It depends on tank size, access and how long it has been. Ring 0427 253 469 with your address and you get a real number, not a range.
Book it in

Book it while it is still a job, not an emergency.

Ring 0427 253 469 and speak to someone, or leave your details and get a call back.

We read every one of these. If it is urgent, ring instead — it is faster.
