What we pump

What we get called out for most.

Everything Redhorse Haulage handles, in the order people ring about it.

01

Septic

Septic tank cleaning

The standard household pump-out. We lift the lid, vacuum the tank down, check the outlet and leave the lid seated properly.

02

Effluent

Effluent pump-outs

Effluent pumped out and carted under licence, from single tanks up to a full transfer station run.

03

Aeration

Aeration water treatment system (AWTS) servicing

Aerated treatment systems serviced, pumped and left running the way the manufacturer intended.

04

Portaloo

Portaloo block pump-outs

Portable toilets delivered, serviced and collected. Site sheds, events, and jobs that run long.

05

Hazardous

Hazardous liquid waste (oily water) collection and transport

Bulk liquid waste taken away under licence and tipped at a licensed facility, with the paperwork to prove where it went.

06

Drilling

Drilling mud haulage

Drilling mud haulage handled on the same visit, so it is not another trip and another bill.

What happens on the day

One visit, done properly.

You ring, we give you a day

No answering service, no ticket. You get a person, a price and a day that suits the truck and suits you.

Finding it is part of the job

Under the lawn, under a garden bed, under a slab someone poured over it. We locate the lid and uncover it before anything else.

Hose to the tank, truck stays put

The hose does the walking so the truck does not have to. Sludge, crust and liquid all go, not just the easy layer off the top.

Disposed of under licence

It leaves your place and goes to a licensed receiving facility. The paperwork exists and you can have a copy.

The council report is handled

Treatment systems come with paperwork obligations. We do the service and the report together, so nothing is chased later.

Lid seated, ground left tidy

Back down square, safe to stand on, and the grass no worse than we found it.

Not the same as the next truck

Straight answers

The questions we get asked most.

How often should a septic tank be pumped?
For most households it is every three to five years, and it depends on tank size and how many people live there. If it has been longer than five years, or you have just moved in and nobody can tell you when it was last done, book it.
How do I know if mine needs doing?
Slow drains through the whole house, gurgling, a smell near the tank, or wet ground and greener grass over the trench. Any of those means ring, do not wait.
Do you need to find the lid, or do I?
We can find it. If you know where it is, tell us and we are faster. If nobody has looked in twenty years, that is a normal job for us.
Can the truck get to my tank?
Usually. Tell us if the tank is behind a locked gate, down a steep drive, or more than about thirty metres from where a truck can park, and we will bring the right hose.
What happens to the waste?
It goes to a licensed facility and it is documented. Ask for the docket any time you want it.
Do you do the council service report as well?
Yes. Aerated systems have to be serviced on a set interval and reported. We do the service and fill in the report at the tank, so you are not chasing paperwork later.
How much does it cost?
It depends on tank size, access and how long it has been. Ring 0467 321 764 with your address and you get a real number, not a range.
